Architectural Drafter - Seattle, WA

Stillwater Dwellings is a residential design firm specializing in high-end prefabricated contemporary homes. We are currently working on projects throughout the Western US. We are seeking a full-time Architectural Drafter with 5+ years of experience to add to our growing design studio team. The ideal candidate should have both a residential drafting and technical background. We are looking for an ambitious individual with a strong drive to learn, improve, and grow with us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize AutoCAD to draft and develop architectural drawings.

  • Handle a fast-paced work schedule and maintain a high level of accuracy, while balancing multiple projects and priorities at any given time.

  • Work in support of the Project Architect to ensure that projects are completed in a timely fashion.

  • Assist the Design Studio with process improvement tasks including template revisions, CAD block development, layer management, and related tasks.

  • Assist the Design Studio with drawings from concept design through construction documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Architectural, Construction or Technical degree from an accredited collegiate institution.

  • 3+ years of applicable drafting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Professional experience working on construction documents, especially high-end, single-family residential design and wood frame construction.

  • Knowledge of residential building codes, standards, and procedures.

  • Must be highly proficient in Auto CAD.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $65,000-75,000 DOE

Project Architect - Seattle, WA

Stillwater Dwellings is a residential design firm specializing in high-end prefabricated contemporary homes. We are currently working on projects throughout the Western US. We are seeking a full-time Project Architect with 5+ years of experience to add to our growing design studio team. The ideal candidate should have both a strong design and technical background. We are looking for an ambitious individual with a strong drive to learn, improve, and grow with us. This position can be Remote Working if needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Programming and Project Research, including zoning review, code review, and permit requirements.

  • Carry out project vision from the start of the schematic phase through to fabrication.

  • Complete pricing and permitting sets on time and on budget.

  • Must be capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Manage correspondence with zoning and permitting jurisdictions.

  • Manage client relationships. Good communication skills, verbally and graphically, is a must.

  • Front consultant coordination efforts: both those contracted to Owner and those directly contracted to Stillwater Dwellings.

  • Communicate well with other staff members.

  • Observe and Identify areas of potential process, service, and product improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accredited professional degree in Architecture (Bachelors or Masters of Architecture).

  • Licensure is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience. Much of this experience should be in high-end, single-family residential design with wood frame construction.

  • Must be proficient in Auto CAD and SketchUp.

  • Must have strong knowledge and experience preparing permit and construction documents.

  • Must have highly developed written as well as interpersonal skills.

  • LEED Accreditation is a plus.

Sales Admin

Project Manager, Project / Product Development and Construction - Seattle, WA

 

Stillwater Dwellings is a residential design firm specializing in high-end prefabricated contemporary
homes. We are seeking a full time Project Manager to lead the communication and coordination of
individual Client projects. You will be the quintessential Point Person for the client from initial Design
through Final Construction. The ideal candidate will have 5 + years of experience in supporting
residential home development from architectural design to construction administration from a Project
Management position. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of wood frame
construction along with superior written, communications and organizational skills.

 

We are looking for an ambitious individual with a strong drive and work ethic to learn, improve and
grow with us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General management and coordination of a group of projects through the Stillwater Critical Path.

  • Provide support and key communication between the Client and Project Architect during design
    and permitting phase. Lead coordination between Client, general contractor and product
    delivery while in construction phase.

  • Provide weekly and immediately on urgent issues, reports to the Director of Operations.

  • Position Client interaction as the consistent point of contact throughout the life of the project.

  • Provide support and updates to the project Critical Path.

  • Provide proactive forecast management for the Project Teams.

  • Update appropriate reports for all stakeholders: Client, Project Architect, Sales Associate,
    Production Coordinators and Administrative.

  • Manage and analyze complex logistics of project timelines and schedules.

  • Ensure quality control handling of Component Deliveries / coordinate with Production Team.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and serve as primary communicator to resolve issues and ensure
    mutually beneficial relationship with clients.

  • Finish the project strong providing high touch and service to the Client until the Move in
    Celebration.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited institution in Project management, Business,
    Construction Management or Architecture related fields.

  • 5 + years of experience in construction project management or construction administration.

  • Ability and experience in using Gantt chart software for critical path management,
    communication and scheduling purposes: Google suite, Smartsheet, MS Excel, Word. Etc.

  • Experience working with Builders in the field, strong ability to communicate and problem solver.

  • Some Job site travel will be expected.

  • Excellence in organizational, leadership, analytical, creative thinking, and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with Mitek and / or Bluebeam is a plus.

  • Strong ability to read and understand construction drawings, shop drawings and project
    documents to ensure accuracy.

  • Proven ability to communicate, both in writing and verbally to interdepartmental teams, clients
    and vendors on the status, timeline and scheduling.

  • Ability to effectively prepare and present appropriate information and respond to questions
    from management and clients and outside stakeholders (Builders / Consultants / Suppliers).

  • Knowledge of general office practices, procedures and equipment.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, within the established Project Critical Path.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to bond with team members, clients, builders and vendors.

  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, responsibility and a work ethic to fulfill commitments.

 

COMPENSATION

  • Salary is commensurate with experience.
